Prepare a clear review brief before treating a catalog record as evidence for your requirements. Keep what you need, what the record actually states and what remains unresolved together, without turning an unanswered question into a product claim.
This is editorial guidance for an unpublished catalog preview. The records contain source-checked catalog statements, not independently tested performance. Use this page to organize your own notes before asking a specific question.
Define the requirement
Write your requirement or question separately from the product record. Describe the information you need to establish, rather than beginning with a conclusion that the product meets it. Identify the exact product code throughout your notes.
A shared name, similar appearance or common classification does not establish that two records are equivalent, interchangeable or variants of one product. Keep each record's identity attached to its own evidence and unresolved questions.
Record what is actually stated
Copy the exact listed value or wording, its unit and the relevant specification note together. Preserve a qualification even when it makes comparison less convenient. Label this material as a listed statement; do not relabel it as a requirement satisfied.
Return to the individual record when reviewing your notes. Keep your interpretation separate from the copied statement, and leave missing information explicitly unresolved rather than completing it from a photograph or another product.
Identify what still needs clarification
- Power and luminous-flux measurement bases are unspecified. Do not reinterpret listed values as per metre.
- LEDs/cut and cm/cut describe different recorded quantities. A count does not establish physical length; a physical interval does not establish LED count or density.
- Keep literal color-temperature and color-rendering wording literal. Do not infer numeric options or bounds, tunability, controls, compatibility or variants from ambiguous wording.
- Supply voltage alone does not establish an installation connection, AC/DC type or compatible drivers and accessories.
- The records do not establish IP rating, certification, lifetime, warranty or availability. Keep these questions open when they matter to your requirement.
Use a review brief
Use these five fields in your own notes for each unresolved question. Keep the original statement alongside the question so another reader can see exactly where clarification is needed.
- Product code
- Identify the individual record being reviewed.
- Requirement or question
- State what you need to establish.
- Exact listed statement and unit
- Retain the wording, quantity and accompanying note.
- Limitation or missing evidence
- Describe what the record leaves unresolved.
- Clarification requested
- Ask the specific question needed to progress the review.
Example: if your question needs a physical cutting length but the record states LEDs/cut, retain that count-based wording and mark physical length unresolved. Ask for clarification of the physical interval; do not calculate a length from the count.
Choose the next step
Inspect individual product records and notes, or compare the two reviewed COB records. Use the Technology reading paths for terminology and document context, and the catalog-use FAQ for preview tools. To ask a specific question, take your product code and review brief to Contact TaoGroup.
This brief does not establish product suitability, installation approval or document availability. It does not promise professional services or that reports, certificates, drawings or other supporting documents can be supplied.
